To make your visit to Saint Andrews an even richer experience, here are some suggestions on how to get to the Castle.
It is the famous Romantic Route, considered the most beautiful between Porto Alegre airport and Gramado. After Novo Hamburgo, BR-116 becomes incredibly beautiful, in addition to being close to some cities with a strong German influence.
Along the way it is possible to admire long stretches of exuberant nature. It is a road that has many curves, so this is also the slowest route. In Nova Petrópolis, follow the BR-235, which maintains its beauty throughout. Taking this road, you will enter Gramado through the traditional portico, which is located on Av. das Hortênsias.
The advantage of this route is that most of the route is duplicated, which is why it is the fastest.
When leaving Porto Alegre, take BR-116. On this stretch there may be some traffic between Canoas, São Leopoldo and Novo Hamburgo, as it is a point of congruence between several cities. Next, take the RS-239 towards Taquara, where the RS-115 begins, which goes flawlessly to Gramado.
Using this route, you can visit the Igrejinha outlets or the Três Coroas Buddhist temple. Entry into Gramado is via Av. Borges de Medeiros.
